DEVON RIVERS MANIFESTO
The Devon Rivers Manifesto introduces 'River Constituencies' to highlight issues in each political constituency and encourage our elected MPs to campaign to clean up our rivers by 2027.
The situation is dire. Only 21% of the rivers in Devon have a 'Good' ecological status. The primary sources of pollution are agricultural run-off and inadequate South West Water treatment works. The EA Catchment Explorer and the River Trust Sewage Map provide full information. We need to make the restoration of our rivers a priority for the this Government.
